For two years now, Imperial Hospital -Iganga has been the heartbeat of healthcare in Iganga Municipality, located along the busy Jinja-Malaba Road. With its doors open 24/7, it’s more than just a medical facility.
Imperial Hospital Iganga began its journey in 2021, and its birth was driven by a deep and sincere mission. The founders of this imperial Hospital analyzed the local healthcare landscape and identified a pressing need. In the heart of Iganga, there was a gap in quality medical services, especially for the corporate class. The tools and expertise required to care for sickle cell patients were notably absent. This realization fueled the birth of Imperial Hospital Iganga, aiming to provide urban-level healthcare in a rural setting, accessible to all.
One of its noble missions was to offer subsidized treatment to sickle cell patients in the Busoga region, making healthcare more equitable for everyone.
At the core of Imperial Hospital Iganga’s philosophy is the patient. Patients and their families are at the center of everything they do. It’s the constant inspiration to be better caregivers. The hospital’s strategic goal is to offer the latest and most effective medical services. Currently, they house six specialty clinics and a team of specialists providing cutting-edge treatment options.
Imperial Hospital Iganga boasts state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, from a registered laboratory to modern scanning facilities, a maternity ward complete with a neonatal unit, a fully operational theater, and also offers general surgeries. They have an emergency unit, equipped to handle a range of medical cases.
This facility is fully accredited by the Ministry of Health and serves over five organizations, including private companies, NGOs, and government entities. Its strategic location on the main highway, close to the central police station, post office, URA, major banks, and the Taxi Park, ensures accessibility for patients coming from various regions.
The vision of Imperial Hospital Iganga is simple yet profound: “Make quality healthcare accessible for all.” This vision is put into action through their mission, which is to provide top-quality healthcare that’s accessible to everyone.
